• Q: I am curious to know how long you can leave a mouse for, I live on my own and am rarely away from home but I find I have to go away for up to three days but as I don’t know anyone in the local area and I am not able to take my mouse with me I am worried about how she's going to be? I would be greatly obliged if you could let me know as I will have to make arrangements as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your time.
• A: Mice are very hardy creatures. They don't require much care from their owners aside from refilling their food and cleaning their enclosure. Three days should be no problem to leave your mice alone provided you give them enough food and water. The main concern is keeping their living space clean. I would not leave your mice unattended for much longer than your regular enclosure cleaning interval, which will vary depending on how big it is.
